Fortic in a flat, ball-vave jammed open, over flow pipe not connected to anything, just terminates in cupboard, so flooded cupboard but customer luckily caught it quick. Advise overflow needed to be run to outside but would involve a visible pipe on short stretch of wall in bedroom (white walls, very high up, not so bad.) Either that or chasing in and re-plastering.

Customer not keen at mo but 'will get round to it.' So Installed a lever iso on supply in reach so that if she had good fortune to be present if it starting passing again she could isolate easily but again advised needs to be sorted asap because it could potentially flood the building.

'yes, yes, will definetly get round to it'

....

'Ooh, before you go can you give me a quote to change pedestal basin if I bought a new one, it doesn't match the bath'

Priorities, eh?

Good job she was definetly a pretty face.

I know it's not good practice but would it be okay to terminate over a bath? say if the feed tank was in the bathroom? Just curious :)

Even further away in this instance. If that were the case I might have suggested one of those overflows that come out bath overflow which I only discovered existed to my amazement about two months ago.
