If faced with situation of been able to work for your self getting 35-40k issuing certs and few other bits with regular work over quite a big area, or taking a job for a major company and get less, starting at 20k. The chance to gain experience and benefits of a company..? any feedback would be helpful..

are you earning that much already ? or have you not started up yet ? will take you a while to be earning that much working for yourself anyhow theres alot of competition out there

more details would be helpful

well then that's a no brainer for me, but do you need the experience ? you'll find working for a company that your under more pressure to get x amount done in a day and you get paid less for more work

if your working for a company you'll be expected to know what your doing, not like when your an apprentice when you get the help you need

it does have its benefits if your not sure just ask the gaffer etc and your working with other people sharing experiences and tips, but if its not a friend your working for you'll be getting judged for your first weeks if your constantly asking what to do and seems as if you dont know what your doing, then you may not get kept on if you know what i mean but its up to you really if you need the experience then go for it, or try get someone to work with part time for experience while doing your own jobs also

yes its a tough one, I did work with someone for a while and learnt alot. I am not worried about not knowing what do cos i know id be ok and have a good knowledge of appliances, most of my own jobs take up all my time and there constant. Id say i do need the experience if i want to be good, all my work at the moment is issuing certificates.. thanks for the feedback.

love to no were your gunner get 35 to 40 k from cos i been self empolyed now for 3 and a half yrs and lucky to get half that was lucky to get £800 a month when doing plumbing alone as too many doing it and always someone to beat you on price even now on the gas side ive not got more than £1300 and that was 8.30 to 7 every day for a month inculding 2 sundays ave only got by cos the wife bailed me out cos she works plus there insurance ,tax van petty the list goes on

depends on your circumstances, wen i was single i chased money, got married i wanted security

£30k for self employed is not much by the time you take off costs and "unpaid hrs" doing invoices and free quotes bet the reality is there wont be much difference and could be a lot less hassle working for a firm for £20k
