Hi, Guys If you were called to do a service on a gas fire in a front room would you have to also inspect the fire in the dinning room and the boiler up stairs including pipoework, Or just focus on the applince i was called to service.
But would like to know the correct way which things are done to the satsfaction of thegas safe inspector because at sum point he will be paying me a vist.

if you turn off the whole gas supply to the prop you need to reinstate, which could include purging and relighting existing appliances so they would need a basic check (there is a TB on this ) if you only isolated the gas supply to one appliance you dont need to do anything with any other appliance, as long as the work is for a private customer you can do the work they require and are willing to pay for, however it would be deemed good practice to do a quick visual inspectionn on other appliances, but not mandatory

Yes, you would have to carry out a visual risk assessment on the other appliances i.e. the 5 trigger points with no interruption of gas or the 6 trigger points after interruption of gas.
