I've always considered Keston boilers as the worst boilers in the market (my views only, please). So I went to look at a ''faulty'' boiler yesterday and it turned out to be my pet hate, a Keston boiler. Anyway, after getting home, I decided to check out the manual to assist with repairs. But on typing Keston C40 installation manual, I got told to join Installers Connect? Errmmm, Installers Connect is an Ideal Boilers thingy, so I thought there must be a mistake. Anyways, as I was prompted to join, I decided to try it out and ofcourse, it turns out to be Ideal's Installers Connect.
So, my question is: Has Ideal bought out Keston? If so, WHY???? If they really have, then I may go down to Bromley and pay them a visit.

On another note, if Ideal have bought out Keston, will they be doing the twin flue thingy too? BTW, the C40, extremely bulky for 12 radiators??

Just checked the ''latest'' version of Heat Only boilers by Keston, and it boasts a 5yrs warranty, but here is the interesting bit: 5 year warranty subject to Terms and Conditions. 5 years parts and labour warranty available subject to being commissioned by Keston.

I don't know whether it still happens, but it used to be common for the manufacturers of commercial boilers to send out a commissioning engineer. Often the price of the boiler would be broken down into the boiler, the delivery charge, onsite assembly (if required) and commissioning.

Is that still how it works?

On bigger commercial installs yes theres a price there. Its even in the plumb centre book. Cant remember how much it is
