Keston C25 fault

Hello All

Just stuck on a C25 keston , wondered if any of you have come across the problem. The boiler seems to be doing everything except firing. It goes all the way to ignition and gas valve opens up as I can smell it but its not firing. What am I missing. Help much appreciated.

Try hitting with an axe and see if that cures the problem

What condition are the electrodes? No cracks?
have you checked continuity on the leads?

pull em out, put them away from anything (and your fingers) fire the boiler and make sure they spark at the tip.

Does the fan run then yellow light flashes before lock out?

Bet it's cooked . Have u tried the seperateation on electrodes?

Have you checked this fully inside? This is one dangerous heap of a boiler.
No display fault light indication?

Check the spark electrode is actually working as Killy said.

Thank you all for your help. I have had enough of it and so has the customer. Changing the boiler tomorrow.

they are happy in skips there natural environment

I did change the boiler , but was curious why was C25 not firing, so I decided to strip the boiler in me garage and found that the burner had broken and lying on the heat ex changer.

Fan melts pcb too! Excellent boilers

Insulation in the heat exchanger drops off, no where near the thermal link, melts the flue or you have the case glowing orange!
