I've gone for DDM3 to have the water injection if I need it. It's overkill for 90% of coring but I've been doing a fair few installs in a development with rebar in the concrete walls so a wet core is essential.

Mine was from core drill city and arrived the day after I bought. Prices for the Marcrists seem to be similar in most places when I looked. I got the DDM1 by the way and it said it came with 5 years guarantee and 5 years free servicing

Can the Makita not be fixed?

Well paid the tax man and bought my self an Marcrist DDM3/CCU850X Diamond Core Drill Set 110v YASSSSS

You'll cream yer pants when you try the big red beast out

You won't need the water until you need it (you'll know when you hit a bit craigleith stone). It is too messy. Try it out in an empty house or a renovation job.

long does it take you on speed 3 you know what some houses are like up here

Takes you longer to get it out the van and stick a core on than it does to drill the hole. You'll find out through the week. Its a heavy gun but easily handled and the 850 cores are the mutts.

a big spend but hoping its worth it should be here Wednesday just looking forward to use it
