We have a Wickes anti-siphon valve connected to our kitchen sink waste (Wickes no.424904) to stop the dishwasher & washing machine sucking the water out of the sink trap.

However, while this works fine during normal emptying of a full sink, the valve leaks if the waste disposal unit is run. The pressure built up by the macerator exceeds the valve's capabilities and it allows water to flow out through the air inlet.

Can anyone please recommend a solution...
Cheers
GP

Would a Hepvo valve be a possible solution?
Any downsides? (Apart from its size... there's only about 100mm to play with in the current pipework so some re-jigging would be required).
Cheers
