Hi guys. There's a bit of reading in this but I'll try keep it short as possible.

We noticed water under the wooden floor in our kitchen. It turns out it was because the hot tap - which you couldn't fully turn off - which was tripping behind the sink unit and then on to the floor.

The hot tap was replaced and voila, no more leakage from the tap and no more water under the floor.

But now we've noticed water directly under the sink, where we keep tea towels and stuff. I'll attach photo.

Any ideas on moving forward?

Have you knocked the trap eg out of the pipe ?

The white part left in the photo

Don’t know might of got knocked when replacing the washing machine valve best to dry everything off and fill the sink bowl up and then pull the plug and let it drain and watch where the water comes from

It isn't coming from the trap as it turns out. I think it's coming from the taps. The leak is dripping from directly underneath there, the unit where the hot tap, cold tap and middle bit is. There's droplets of water that look like beads of sweat forming around it.

For a novice DIY person what's the skill level to replace this do we think?

I'll attach some photos.

It’s coming from the centre spount swivel you can get new orings but tbh normally just swap the deck mount mixer

Depends on your skill level the should be a screw / alley on the back to remove the spout then it’s finding new orings
