Easy chaps, I had cause to condemn an inset fire the other week in a rental. I'm due to replace it with a new one. Do I need to complete another separate L/L cert for the new fire, or is the fact that it's new & commissioned in accordance with MIs enough to cover the job?

new appliance ok for 12 months but most folks want a LLC to be happy

You don't have to as Lame says, don't forget it'll be registered with Gas Safe.
