whats the craic,
is there anyone on the forum has installed a gas fire from lpg.what is the standard procedure for such a job.this has triggered my curiousity over the past few days in relation to lpg in general.
i am picturing the large portable bottle of propane.a regulator[low or high pressure?????]
a suitable rubber hose attached to 10mm copper tubingwith an isolater. then a run of 10mm tubing to the fire place .{the fire to b placed in where an old open fire once was]
then a 10mm to 8mm compression reducer {fire has a 8mm compression gas inlet]
could u then get a flue piece to come off top of fire vertically into existing chimney stack.[if u made sure that the flue then was completely sealed with say high temp silicone] many people have gas cookers around which they hook up themselves . propane bottle , regulator , rubber hoses and jubilee clips.would a gas fire not be similar.
could someone please satisfy my curiousity. thanks for your time in advance, buffy
anyone with lpg experience - out there
