Got a few questions about running rad pipes in a new conversatory before the floor is laid.

1. Whats the best way to secure/clip the pipes to the concrete floor?
2. Should i lag the pipes?
3. Should i use trace heating on the pipes?
4. Anything else i should be aware of or that needs to be done?

Nail in clips or screw in clips if you cant nail em in and have the depth as nail-ins are shallower

2. Should i lag the pipes?
It is good practise to protect them with hairfelt lagging

3. Should i use trace heating on the pipes?
No bit over the top

4. Anything else i should be aware of or that needs to be done?
I always prefer to use Hep pipe in the floor. Bit more resistant to the colder weather.

Hope to help

best way out would be polypipe in conduit the conduit they use id a bit like the outlet hose on a washing machine
no need to clip any pipe thats going into screed hairfelt is used on copper more to allow some movement than for insulation

Hep20 and polypipe do pipe in pipe which is what Steve is talking about. Quite a good idea actually hadnt thought of that. I would still clip it though. I know once screed sets the pipe is going nowhere but its nice to have it nice and solid before.
