Wondered if anyone had used a leak sealer additive. I was thinking about the offering from Sentinel. I have a customer whose system very slowly looses pressure. It's a vented hot water / unvented primary. The pressure gauge on the expansion tank drops to around.75 bar from 1.5 bar over approximately 7 days (when cold). The system has been installed for just over a year. There are no obvious weeping joints or fittings.

Have you checked the blow off valve on the boiler is not passing by?

Good point. 'No' but I will. Thanks.

Blow off is fine. So back to the leak sealer.

What about the expansion vessel? Have you checked that? Otherwise you may need to check with the boiler manufacturer thats its ok to use leak sealant with their boiler.
Ive never personally used it but i would like to know if it does the job.

Expansion vessel looks fine to me and no obvious leaks or drips that I can detect. Boiler manufacturer note is a good thought. I will give Worcester Bosch a call and post their response.

expansion vesel membrane may be defective.ive used sentinal leak sealer in same situation ,proberly leak under floor it worked ok but do not know how long it lasts
