Leaking 10-15mm adapter

Got a new heating system about 2 months ago and one of the trvs is leaking at the pipe side, its 10mm plastic pipe into a 15mm danfoss trv.

Phoned the plumber who fitted it to come n fix it and hes insisting that if it would have been his fault it would have leaked by now and wants to charge 4 hours time to come and fix it because it must have been knocked, despite us not even being in that room at all since it was put in.
It actually started dripping when i turned up the heat on the boiler to 5 when he had it set to 3.

Tried tightening it then taking it off and refitting and ive just tried ptfe taping it half to death and that stopped the drip until it heated up, then it started spraying out like mad.

Theres a 2 piece adapter thingymibob with one part stuck on the pipe beneath the insert and one over it, i dont see whats actually supposed to create the seal tbh.

How can i get this to stop leaking?

Now that you've attempted a fix you've got no chance of him fixing it for free,

You might need to make up a new piece of pipe,
Is the pipe run in the wall or coming up threw the floor?

Plastic into those reducer style crimpers will always end badly... Very prone to be being disturbed... Get him back, 1 /2 hours should be plenty

a new pipe insert and a new 15mm olive.
Cut the pipe back after the compresion nut that is trapped on your current pipe by the adapter set/ olive.
If there is enough play on the existing pipe put the insert in tge pipe.
Fit the push fit 10- 15 mm valve adapter using the original valves compression nut and the new olive.
Finaly push pipe in to push fit valve adapter untill all the way home.
If existing pipe is not ling enough cut more off and fit a straight pushfit 10mm coupler and a short section of 10mm pipe to get the length needed.

Hes actually made it clear that he has no intention of coming out at all,relations broke down towards the end of the job, there were a lot of problems n i pretty much feel scammed.

Otherwise i wouldnt have had a go myself.

Its coming up through the floor and into the trv at an angle.

Im quite good with basic diy and never had a problem using compression fittings.

Why/how would i make up a new piece of pipe? I was hoping there would be some sort of paste or gunk that would sort it, no?

Plastic pipe doesn't always go well with paste,

Get yourself a 10-15mm reducing elbow or equivalent fittings and 1m of 15mm copper and bring the 15mm up from under the floor and into the rad valve, always looks better and is stronger against knocks if its in 15mm

Not unless you want to be in the same situation again on Xmas eve

If the pie goes into the valve on the angle then its needs re-aligning... Post a pic it will be easier to best advice then

yes and no depends if there all pushed in far enough (10mm plastic) thats why i think its leaking

you would need to cut it so you get rid of the reducer
