Looked at the above boiler yesterday and it was leaking like a sieve. This is the first time I have looked inside one of these, I won't say what I thought of it, (plastic !). There is a pipe joined together with a piece of hose and a couple of clips like you would find under the bonnet of your van. Where every pipe or fitting goes into the plastic 'hydraulic group' it's leaking, the diverter valve is dribbling. In assessment the whole thing needs new seals, ( is there a seal kit available?) or would I be wasting my time and the customers money. I managed to stop the major leaks and got the system to hold pressure for 20 minutes and the boiler actually worked well.

I do not fit Baxi’s mate. But I’m sure one of the lads or gals will be along shortly.

Depends ga weren't the best boiler and still have a bad rep among engys

Don't think baxis do a service kit like Worcester do that include all washers and seals etc

I would go to the customer and honestly say it's upto you but I would recommend a new boiler as can't guarantee how long it will last If we try a repair etc

My sentiments exactly.

Not installed any but one's i've had to go to for repairs have been disappointing to say the least.

Touch one part & then part nearby starts leaking .

A little bit more effort in design could have made it much better, oh & a seal overhaul kit where you could rip it apart & replace seals on mass would be great,

Cheers,

Andy
