Leaking loo

Hello everyone

In my downstairs loo, the loo itself is leaking at the back and it soon turns into a little puddle! The leak is where the pipe from the cistern leads into the back of the loo basin - the fast drip comes from the seal at the back. Can I fix it myself and if so, what do I need to do? I would really appreciate anyones help with this.

Thank you.

Without seeing the problem, best way to fix it is to replace the pan connector which means removing the toilet - easy if you know what to do and have a few simple tools and (ideally) a wet vacuum.

But simpler, if less effective way, is to coat the joint with loads of silicone.

You need a new flushpipe pan connector. Either a rubber plug or a cap depending on what your pan is like.

as mentioned, a new 'flush cone' is needed, around £1. makesure it is the same on as there is three or so types.
it is an easy diy fix, good luck.

Sometimes you don't need to take the pan out, just undo the ring at the bottom of the cistern and slide out the pipe (don't flush of course without the pipe in place!)
