Afternoon all,

First post (after my introduction) and looking for some assistance, if possible.

We have a Living Flame Gas Fire by Legend Gas Fire Ltd. Just at the wrong time of year it has started to cut-out. To my (untrained) knowledge this is likely to be the thermocouple or pilot unit. Scottish Gas engineer arrived today and says he can't work on it without the installation manual. To me this seemed a little extreme but he is the expert; unfortunately we don't have an installation manual for the fire and "Legend Gas Fires" have just gone off on Xmas holidays.

Any idea if I could get hold of the installation manual for the following:

Supplier: Legend Gas Fire
Trade name: Heritage
Pin: 63AR5147
Serial Nos. 57024
Injector: 421

I've tried Google, without success, so have registered on here.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Cheers

Try looking under Baxi or Glen Dimplex, these seem to have taken over a lot of gas fire manufactures

JTS, they are not part of Dimplex (Baxi are). Or even Kinder, who HAVE taken over a lot of struggling firms.

They are simply on their Xmas shutdown.

OP: Why on earth engage someone like Scottosh Gas for gas fire work? Stick to a local experienced fire guy - the chances are that the guy that came out rarely works on fires, and was glad for a "get out". And always check their specific credentials, we are registered for different categories of work types.

As it happens, I would probably have that fore workibg by the toime you poured the tea

Keyboard missing some letters Firemant ? or maybe to much to drink

HaHa. I'm useless at typing and tend to bang away happily, then go back and tidy up. Must have got distracted, but not, sadly, by a pint of Jennings or Pedigree.

As it happens, my "d" sticks and I have to give it some welly.

Well it sounds like your going to have a happy Christmas !! Banging away And with a sticky 'd'

Merry Christmas jts.

Thanks for comments - even the funny ones! Just to let you know the manufacturer emailed the relevant document as soon as the Christmas holidays were over.

Cheers
