I remember in 2006 Phil thompson kicking off that Liverpool hadnt finished top 4 and therefore wouldnt get the chance to get into the Champions League. FIFa ended up giveing them a place wrong IMO

However if they finsih top 4 this year and go on to win the Europa League will they argue that they should have the right to defend the Europa League?

i agree and want the defending champions there, its also a well done for winning last year as well

the reason why we were given the extra spot in 06 because we were the defending champions,we had to go through qualifing rounds,where as the bitter blues went out in the first round,we went on to the final and lost to ac milan,and the kop was buzzing last night,and yes i do travel up from devon for home games.

so are the rules top 4 unless you previously won? answe NO - thy made them up for liverpool, thats wrong. ive no objection if it were the rules but it wasnt

if you feel that strong wil you again insits at defending the europa league even if u get a place in the champions league? answer again i guess will be no
