Lockdown 2 - what's everyone going to do?

After Boris's latest announcement what are you guys going to do? I don't fancy another two months with next to no income but having seen what Covid has done to friends of mine I really don't want to catch it.

I'm a company director. I'll get about £630 a month - less than the state pension. I think I'll furlough my staff again and work only when I have to. I guess I'll have to take the financial hit again. It's better than dying (I've lost two friends to Covid)

Yes, I’m not self employed, and carried on working throughout 1st lockdown, so 2nd one won’t make a difference.

Mask, nitrile gloves, keep the distance, don't accept a brew, work gear off asap & washed daily, keep the work places well ventilated where possible etc.
You can only do your best if you need to earn!
Everything is prioritized anyway so the work will mainly be urgent/necessary at this time of year for us.

I'm making tomorrow my last day. I'm downing tools bar all but genuine emergencies. I've decided it's not worth the risk.

Yes agree with Jock , I am going emergency or empty house only from now .
Its not about the money now, we are all in this together.

Our lastest:

We were told by the highest manager, emergencies only, then told by another manager we can continue as long as we feel safe. New policy is, to wear mask, gloves, open a window/door, wipe surfaces, and ask that customer leave the area(s) we’re working in.

I’ve had some watching, but vast majority leave me to it. Also had backing from management that we can wall out if they don’t adhere. 😉
