Just want a bit of advice on Loctite 577. Everyone seems to rave about it, but i've had it on a few occasions not seal - mainly today on some rads! Was just about to pack up and then a rad tail started pouring out (Was fine for a while then started). When I get to a rad job it's the first thing I do, so it can go off before filling. Was on in tail for a hour or so before filling. It's not like i'm not putting enough on too, I cover the fitting.

How long do you guys leave it, and do you find it grabs/sets? Put a shower head arm in with it the other day, left it to set overnight and was still moving about next morning.

I see people fitting outside taps with the stuff, but I find it never fully sets and you can move the fitting about. Unless mine has gone off? Although this is my second tube and I had similar experiences with the first.

It’s one of them if it’s tapered you can go instantly 3 bar etc but if it’s ooose thread you have to let it dry

Eg danfoss ras c2 you can put in and they will seal straight away but Draytons you have to let sit

The shower head I did still had movement on after 24hrs though?

I want to like it, but after today it was a full drain down job afterwards. Like for f*** sake. 55 I wouldn't of had this problem. The other 3 probably started leaked after I left 😂 Was checking them with a hawk eye afterwards.

Might need more then as I’ve never had a problem after 24 hours etc
