Long distance from boiler to tap

We have a very long single storey house ( old farm buildings.)
The boiler is at one end and the kitchen at the other. ( about 80 ft) : it takes an age for hot water to reach the kitchen.
I am a competent amateur : is there any kind of flow activated valve I can install with a pump to speed the hot flow to the kitchen ?

Is this a combi-type boiler or hot water cylinder?
Best bet would be putting in a hot water circulation pipe or might be worth having a water heater in the kitchen instead of drawing off 80ft worth!

Its a hot water cylinder We have already installed water heater below the sink but the flow rate was so poor tha I took it out again . I assume that a hot water circulation pipe is just what it says and is a flow and return direct from the cylinder ?
I suppose I could just hugely insulate it.

secondary return on cyl using a bronze pump will be the best option, you can google all about them on the interweb and peek at the grunfoss site for pump info.

As Lame has said, also lag it all and fit a timer on the pump so it's not running outside of your user hours.

Secondary return means just that.

you already have a primary return (assuming it's indirect cylinder) which is linked to your heating pipe work.

Therefore if you add another return it is called a secondary return.

It returns hot water to the hot water cylinder. It needs to be installed correctly and lagged very well.

Have a look at your hot pipework as well if it's speedfit/ hep etc it's not suitable for a hot water system with secondary return.
