My wife's friend rents a place , she needed a new boiler , landlord sent a local guy ,
he started on the 8th , still not finished , he took out baxi boiler and put back combi in loft
he said it was power flushed , left up stairs heating working today ,
said shower won't work with new system ,
left Tennet with no heating or hot water for 3 weeks ,,
he also has a lad helping ,

to me that's a max 3 day job,,

Plus , he's not back till Monday as he don't work weekends ,

3 weeks with no hot water?

I'd hold back rent payment for that and get the landlord to get a proper guy in to get it sorted!

He now said he's been ill ,, bloke is a proper plumber ,, seen His van around on a few jobs

I usually allow a couple day for 2 and it's usually more like a day and and half. How is any money being made?

E4 sounds like your wifes friend is not really a friend lol.
How come you never got asked?

I said the same thing ,, she new off me , but landlord nos him ,, he's gas safe , I've checked him out ,

I do back boiler conversion to combi in a day... 3 days for 2 men, must be paid by the hour
