Hi.

New to this place, and may not have posted this in the correct place either, but i need some help please.

about a year ago, i got a new toilet from homebase, and recently one of the plastic wingnuts that hold the seat in place broke, for the crime of being cheap plastic.

anyway, homebase won't give replacements, apparantly, and I tired eveywhere (EVERYWHERE), and all they do is kits on blister packs that are no good.

basically, is there any online place, or any place in general that do loose, plastic (or metal in need be) loo seat wingnuts, i THINK in 8mm.

thanks

- Lee

Try www.toiletparts.co.uk they might be able to help you out but i'm surprised that screw fix doesn't do them also maybe wickes i know i'm stating the obvious but try the first one and see how you get on mate.

you could take the broken one to an old fashioned iron mongers we have one in our town and it's great for that sort of thing. It may cost a few pence more but you get proper service and can buy 1 or 2 of things and they are not in blister packs so you can see if they fit!

Thanks for the replies.

I tried everywhere (B+Q, Homebase, Wickes, Screwfix, among just a few), but still can't seem to find what I need.

I HAVE since found out that what I need IS an 8mm wingnut, but in plastic - I can get metal ones anywhere from the above, that fit perfect, but I only want plastic, as to prevent rust fusing metal on metal, but, alas, can't seem to find ANY plastic ones...
