Hi chaps, I have a client who has a bathroom tap that is pouring water out the hot so firing the boiler. And I have just had surgery on my wrist so cannot go.

Anyone up for it?

What you had done, I've just had a scaphoid excision on mine with the pins being taken out on Saturday...under another general...hope your not to bored sitting at home watching daytime tele....

Had key hole surgery with de brining. My wrist had only got 45degree up and down movement and has started swelling up a lot. So went to some physio and it got worse. Then had xray which showed a break. Which must have been when I was a lad. But they also thought they could see arthritis on xray so had the surgery to have a looksy. So we shall see how we go from there. One option they wanted to give me, was to fuse all my bones together, so I would not be able to move up and down at all. No thanks.

Scaphoid is a horrible bone to break a

Well I actually have not been sitting at home, had an emergency leak I had to go to. Nightmare it was, popped a cut and felt the warm blood flowing under bandages. I know baths are bugger and so don't really want to risk trying to change it.

General hey, I had local and watched the op on the screen. Was interesting.

What result do you get clarky? It gets fixed straight? Did they re brake it?

Scaphoid excision & 4 corner fusion.....they take the bone that slipped out & put pins to fuse the other bone.... sounds strange but my wrist locked after i handed a lightbulb to a sparks...pain was unbelievable, couldn't write cos bone that slipped out had lodged onto the forearm bit...had surgery 7 weeks ago & the doc reckoned id get 40-60% movement back....at the mo its moving, not much but moving ...pins out on sat.....

Ouch that sounds a bit nasty. Hope it heals well for you feller. And you get no pain any more. 40 to 60%, which movement is that? Hopefully not all. I cannot imagine not being able to use a pipe slice any more. It would be difficult would be difficult with no up and down movement.

So, anyone up for replacing a bath tap then?

Pipeslice in left hand, grips on length of copper in the damaged right one, if that failed ask the custard to hold the pipe......the movement, what you had before your op ..i'm guessing 45degrees...

Here's the taps chaps. Standard cheap ones. Standard plastic bath panel. Combi boiler so no seized gate valves. Simples. Or are there literally no guys near this area?

What time could you do as I would need to let you in. But I am only available between 8am to 12. Would you organise new tap or try fix it? Don't think it's worth trying to fix it
