Looking for an apprentice role in West Yorkshire

Hi all,

I am looking to start an apprenticeship in Plumbing between now and September. I have applied to a local college and they are only willing to let me in if I already have an apprentice job to go into.

A bit about myself: I am 16 years old and currently doing GCSE's. Very interested in doing plumbing (from a v.young age) and I have looked on a lot of websites for roles but there is hardly anything. Would be willing to work anywhere within West Yorkshire.

I have attached a very basic CV which tells you more about me, advice/feedback would be great.
Any help would be appreciated.

I couldn't read the cv is was not much bigger than the link shot.
( I know there is probably a way for me to increase the size of it, but I only get by on the pc.:wheelchair:.)

you have the advantage of being young and keen, hope everything works out for you, I am sure you will find the forum a useful font of knowledge.

Its good to see that you know what you want to do at such a young age. A lot of kids your age don't really have a plan and find that they have wasted time later on doing something they aren't really happy with. Some even realise 25 years later and then decide to do a six week plumbing course to make up :wink5:

One of the hardest things is actually finding someone to take you on, as I'm sure you've just realised.

You've just missed out on this vacancy in your local area by about a week. Maybe give them a call?

Have you thought about what else your going to do if you can't find anything?

Thanks...my back up plan is an apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle repair but I'd prefer plumbing. My grandad is a plumber in San Francisco so it's encouraged me to be a plumber for a while.
I went to an apprenticeship fair 2 weeks ago & Kirklees council had a stall there...I spoke to them about the vacancy you linked but they basically told me that over 100 people had already applied for the plumbing role(s). I applied online anyway but not confident at all. Hopefully something will come up soon
