Hello I am new to the forum and hoping someone out there will be able to help me out!
I am currently studying towards my NVQ Level 2 Plumbing Certificate, part time at North Herts College in Stevenage.
The decision for me to do this course did not come easily, I am 32 years old and have worked for the last 15 years in Sales and Account Management roles; however I never felt fulfilled in these roles. I have always been quite a hands on person and have recently gained some experience in the plumbing industry working on a casual, part time basis for a friend who is the Director of Visick Plumbing and Heating in Hitchin, I enjoyed the work so much and found myself to be good at it so therefore decided it would be the career choice for me.
I appreciate that at this time in my life I am going to need to build up experience, knowledge and get myself a good reputation as a good plumber and I am hoping there is someone out there that will help me achieve this. I would really welcome the opportunity to come and meet with anyone to talk about any positions you would have available as a trainee, assistant or a plumbers mate.
At the moment I am still working full time in my role as a Customer Account Manager for Stapleton’s Tyres, I attend college two evenings a week and will complete this course during the summer of 2013. I am ideally looking for a full time role in the plumbing industry, I understand this would be a junior position due to my experience.
I look forward to hearing from you soon and thank you for taking the time to read my post.
