Hi all,

Electrician here come over from electricians forum. Just after a bit of advice really if you could help. Just purchased a house which i will be rewiring and installing low energy electric radiators.
I know my plans for the radiators its the heating of the water i need help with.
Currently the house is heated by an old oil floor standing boiler with an immersion heater upstairs.
what kind of water only system would you recommend?
I dont really want something thats going to cost a fortune just want to be able to heat water and also run a couple of showers. 2 showers as there is a built on annex.
is disconnecting the boiler from the immersion hard and what work is notifiable with water only systems?

thanks for help

Jon

economy seven cylinder looks like your only real option either mains fed in which case it has to be a certified installer to sign it of or use the existing tanks and gravity fed cylinder but youll probably need pumps for showers to be any good

thanks Steve.
will disconnecting the oil boiler be a big job? Im not planning on it myself really but my sparky mate also does a bit of plumbing so said he'd help. wasnt sure what limitations were as in notifying things.
