Just want to test the water with everybody.

I know it's all doom and gloom but do you think it's looking up at the minute. I have found in years gone past that August is probably the quietest month of the year. This year it has just gone crazy. I have 11 weeks work planned in except for 2 days. On top of this I have 3 prices to hand in and going to look at 6 decent sized jobs over the weekend that have all come from recommendations.

I have spoke to a couple of other lads in the merchants and they have seen a big increase in work also.

So is this just a little (positive, local) blip, signs that there is light at the end of the tunnel or am I just being a glass half full plumber?

I have been busy since april which was the worst month i have had for many years . I literally had no phone calss and probably earned about £700 all that month .Since then i have had several boilerchanges, fires ,bathroom suites quite alot of regular servicing , loads of jobbing works, as well as a few decent sized installs and have been constantly pricing , currently got about £0 grands worth of work priced so hopefully win some of that . Must say tho competition with pricing has become alot more cut throat !

don't wanna jinx myself but i've been really busy past 2 weeks plus got half a dozen bathrooms to do in next few weeks and some rads to hang.

this week was my busiest yet and i earned about 900 quid, long may it continue!

Ive got two boiler changes this week and a couple of little gas jobs. I'm not getting booked up though. I seem to ujst get work in week to week for some reason.

I'm really busy at the moment because I'm on a site and doing my own jobs at evenings and weekends, should make about £3k after tax this month, aiming to save up and pay off some of my debts to reduce the hassle of not having work and bills coming in!

I'm just right at the moment (not busy but not 100% quiet either). Love it like this in the summer holidays. Last two winters have been too busy!

I dont do much of my own work as I contract out during the week but my private work has been a bit more steady the past few weeks. On the contracting front its getting busier here too, i'm getting more phonecalls from agencies lately offering work. So fingers crossed its a sign of things to come and this upturn continues for all of us Tom

Spent pretty much all my time with only next week and well into the week after sorted so it's a nice change to be planned out so far.
