Hi
Going to fix a number of issues at a property one being a loose bath tap...... On one those baths where taps are in the middle against the wall.
my guess is the back nut has sheared but custard just wants it sorting at least expense I.e not ripping bath out.
Any experience out there chaps of sticking the tap down? The guy is selling the house so just wants a quick fix
happy jubilee

How about a spray of foam up the back?

I'd be saying to do it properly it comes out or I would leave it alone.

I've not made any promises believe me
not thought of foam but whatever I use (if anything) its going to be temporary!!!!

Bath out is the only way to do it. A codged up job is likely to come back and bite you.

Can you cut through wall (If Plasterboard) fron adjoining room, if not bath out, if he dont like it leave it !!

Epoxy it on. If it ever needs off again tho it will probably be a new bath.

Thanks tamz

Thanks for the replies guys -

Its against an outside external stone wall so I don't think I'll go in that way!!
i will speak to guy again and see how he wants go

Not sure I want go through 9" of stone wall lol

Stone wall will be a pig, unless you're charging by the hour! :greedy:

what kind of monster installs taps in the middle of a bath and doesn't properly tighten the backnut?

You can sumtimes get layed down between end of the bath and the wall and slide to the back but it is tight

Think the back nut broke/sheared plastic job.
Anyhow customer s selling house and apparently has a conscience - so is selling property warts n all so s leaving tap as is. Don't bother me as she had other jobs for me.
Thanks for feedback chaps
