Hi all!

I had my boiler Ideal Isar HE24 fitted about a year ago. I have noticed that over time the pressure has dropped and is now showing (boiler cold) about 0.5 Bar. Can anyone advise me - How do I top it up? I have a metal flexible hose, but which pipes do I attach it to and what screw head type bit do i turn?? I have the manual but it doesnt say where to attach the pipes to. The earliest service I can get is in June. I dont want to cause any damage by waiting any longer,
Also no sign of leaks anywhere
Your help is very much appreciated, thankyou

If you can post a photo someone (me even?) can add some arrows and instructions for you.

The flexy thing you refer to is a filling loop, as you look at the boiler the two pipes furthest right are your feed/return, off these pipes one should have a spur coming off with a quarter turn fitting to fit your filling loop to, connect one end onto this and you should see another fitting on your CWM boiler feed, connect here, then open one isolation valve and slowly open the other untill you reach 1.1 BAR then close isolation valves and reinstate

Evening, thankyou all, Its all topped up and looking good. I was confused as the only pipe the filling loop fitted to were one on the far left (attached to the pressure gauge) and the other on the pipe 2nd in from the right, but with trepidation and a touch of nerves its all good. Thanks guys, :D

Hmm!

Don't forget to top it up when its cold not when its hot.

Thermal shock you know old chap!!!

How would you like to be all toasty and warm and somebody suddenly throw you in a bath of cold water? :) :)
