Hello All,

I have just installed a new bath and new shower and in the process I seem to have lost my water pressure.
Used to be great now its no better than a dribble.

I have extended pipes but not by much.

Downstairs the pressure remains fine, its just upstairs.

I'm wondering if I have some how damaged the header tank stopcock whilst turning it off and on or whether there is debris in the pipes some how.

I'm a DIY'er and new at it and am a bit stuck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Matthew

If the new taps have check valves in built. There could also be another problem

Thanks for all your replies. I think I have discovered the problem.
I check all of the tips I was given above, with a more experienced friend, and found no faults. Without either the shower unit or bath taps connected I had brilliant pressure. On further investigation this is what I think caused the problem......

1) The lack of water pressure in the shower
A) I bought Tool stations cheapest shower unit. It was faulty, only allowing the hot tap to run through, so only giving half the volume of water. I replaced the unit and it now works finr.
2) Lack of water pressure in the bath.
A) I used 22mm copper pipe to run the water up to the taps as all the books say so. But the flexi pipe that adds the copper pipe t the taps has a tiny bore, less than 15mm. This is the only reason I can find for the lack of pressure. bad design!
