Quite annoyingly have just received a email that a customer can not have me install their boiler as they do not have the money readily available. But are going with BG, obviously paying monthly.
I ain't sure how that works with them or what interest they pay?

a bit gutted to lose a job this way.

you did not loose the job pal,

if you had got it then they would not have paid you like many other recent posts on here...simples

Ready available finance is one of the main reasons people sign up for BG. They know they are getting ripped on the price but many have little other choice. It is easier to sell something at £20 a week for 260 weeks than it is to sell it half price but they have to find the funds themselves. Even if they have a dire credit rating BG will pull out the stops to get them credit from somewhere.

Btw BG only offer a 1 year guarantee then the paid for maintenance plan as they strip the manu's guarantee off the boilers and use their own workforce for any after sales work. That is one of the reasons they pay about half what we pay for their boilers.

They were a nice couple and seem to have money, the house was nice.
i do work for a builder which is her brother never had any problems with him he pays me next day. He's the best payer I've had.

Is that true? I wondered why they offer 1 yr guarantee and then make them pay.

always thought it was another bg con to fleece more money out of them while still being covered by the manufacturer as well

They have the workforce and the parts so why would they pay a manu to fix something they can do themselves. They buy their boilers without a guarantee at a suitably negotiated price.

I did not know that. They have no boundaries, they have every box ticked for maximum gain at the customers expense.

The merchants even have to pay them if the gear is not delivered on time

They aint stupid ! And if i owned a company of that size i would do it the exact same thing !

Lost an WB LPG 38 Cdi upgrade to them although I was £2.4K cheaper on weds solely due to never never aspect, good job I am busy anyhow.......best laugh was BG surveyor missed the 15 mm pipe coming off the bulk tank AFTER the 2nd stage reg.......then 30m underground, then a further 3 m to the boiler, with a gas range 6 m further down the line....our quote included sorting all this, I bet someone will be getting 20 Mbar inlet then thinking oh poo this is LPG! Lol not NG

Some days you lose end of
