Hi there, hope somebody can help with a unusual problem I have got.

Our hot water pressure sometimes becomes really low and we have been trying to determine the fault for a number of weeks until we realised that the pressure is only low when the central heating is running.

We have a cold water storage tank along with a F&E tank in the loft. A hot water cylinder in the landing cupboard and then a boiler in the downstairs utility room.

It seems very unusual that when the central heating isn't running the pressure is great but then becomes low when it is running.

Any ideas guys? Thanks!

I maybe wrong but the central heating should have no bearing on the pressure.

Does the cold pressure drop at all?

My guess would be that you have a blockage somewhere, maybe a collapsed gate valve.

Thanks for your reply. I agree there should be no bearing on pressure however it is happening so something is a-miss. There is no change to the cold water pressure at all.

As I mentioned this is only an issue when the central heating is running (the boiler is running)

Thnx
