hi all, could you give me some ideas.
I have a freind whos got a 6bed house (was a guest house). and the hot water pressure is very low. the cylinder is very small, hes had a new boiler (advised it would help, by a plumber) rads work fine very warm house but the hot water pressure is very low, also the overlow in the loft from the header tank is dripping, hes replaced the ball valve worked for a few days then started again.
would it benifit from a new larger cylinder and new header tank?or put in a larger combi boilder.
any advice is most welcome.
thanks

you will struggle to get the best advise without a full look at the property.
ie:- incoming water mains pressure, number of bathrooms/people using them, current CH set up, height of cwsc in loft etc.
the low hot water pressure is due to it being a gravity system, the height of the cwsc in the loft determines the pressure in relation to height of the draw of tap.
could be the flow is poor because of scale build up within the pipes.

thanks simon
incoming mains pressure is 3bar. 1 bathroom and an onsuit with an electric shower. 2 adults living there.i will have to go round and have a propper look and take a few pics
