Hello friendly Plumbers,
This morning a low system pressure light came on on my boiler (Puma 80e). I found my filling loop, switched off the boiler and raised the pressure from around 0.6 to 1.5. Switched the boiler back on and nothing. The low pressure light remained and the flame light refuses to go on. Brought the pressure up to 2.0 and still nothing when I switch the boiler back on.
There is a reset switch on the boiler, but it does not seem to do anything when I press it.
Water coming from the hot water tap is slightly heated for the first few seconds, so it feels like the boiler just doesn't want to properly switch on.
What should I do to try and get it working again? I am considering de-pressurizing by bleeding the radiators and then retrying? Or bringing up the pressure a little further to trigger a reset?
I will be ever so grateful to whomever can help.
In the meantime, I will be baking a potato for dinner. That should keep my kitchen decently warm
