Happy New Year all!
New Year new problems.....
I have a new Titan oil tank to connect up replacing a similar un bunded one.
No problem, fitted the original many years ago, I have my boiler on a temporary tank but I need to get the tank fittings on to get it filled.
The 1" fitting in brass needs a sealant on the threads so I have loctite 577 here but with it being so cold I checked the spec and it cures above 5 degrees which it won't bee all week!
There is a curing product that I won't be able to get in time, so, what to use?
Ineed to order something today on Amazon prime to get tomorrow.
I know of an old sealant called 'Stag' but I really need to find out whats going to work in the cold weather?
Also as an aside, the filter/tap fitting has an o ring at the base of the thread socket, should I use thread sealant as well?
Thanks for advice.
Paul.
