Low water pressure?

Hi there. I have a question please if anyone can help. Low mains water pressure from the stopcock, just 1 bar and the electric shower keeps burning out in the upstairs bathroom. Is it possible to install a single impeller pump to boost the mains side of the water?

Any help appreciated.

In all the years I've been plumbing I didn't know these existed. Do they actually improve the mains pressure a lot then?

The Home-boost pump delivers 12 litres a minute so if the flow dropped the pump is able to maintain the 12 litres to supply your electric shower!
