lpg gas course

i am hoping someone can help me out i want to become an lpg gas safe engineer but dont no where to start can someone please point me in the right direction please

Don't run before you can crawl then. Get yourself on a plumbing course and learn the basics.

You'll get your gas safe registration in good time

ok thanks i work on a caravan park and have done for the past 12 years i do plumbing and pipework so would i still need to do a plumbing course

i have done alot of work on boilers with a gas safe engineer checking the work after. I was just hoping someone would point me in the right direction

You'll be required to show competency with plumbing and has experience

and i understand i will have to pay to do it that isnt an issue thanks to you both i will call my local collage and see what they say

you dont need qualifications to sit your gas, you just need to show that you are working in the industry and have experience to back you up. you can go to a college and sit your gas ACS and CCN/1 in doing so you will have to provide evidence that you have worked with an engineer. You will enter college as a CAT 2 entree, having passed that and shown competency you will be able to do your cross over to LPG which according to my college is £280 and 2 days training if you are gas registered already, be prepared to fork out some serious wedge!

ok bob thanks for that you have just answered what i needed as i say i want to do it and have done for a long time so i understand i will have to pay for it
