Hi chaps. I have been to the above boiler where there is water running down the side of the combustion chamber. Where the secondary hex is on the opposite side. The connection where it is leaking looks like aluminium foil? Anyone got any experience of these and can advice. Please see the image attached.

Why does that look familiar. Is that the same boiler as the suprima HE?? I know I have sent before and it wasn’t a Main.
 
Yep it’s all one company. I have not worked on one for a while and never had one leak there. Sorry mate.
 
No problems. I thought it was the secondary heat exchanger but according to other forums a common problem is the flue elbow leaking and running down the casing.
 
As you can see from the photo it was the flue elbow rotting through. Bad design by baxi using metal.

Why wouldn't this be picked up on a flue integrity test one wonders?
