hi , i know that we could not fit pumps to incoming water supplies--but i am led to believe that we can now! does anybody know what or if this is true?
i desperately need to boost our incoming pressure-- please help

You can boost the pressure by interposing a 'break-tank' between mains supply and pump. This way you are not pumping mains water, but the water in a tank that is being filled from the mains via an air gap.

Maybe this is what markfxy's 'grundfoss home booster system' does?
