main mersey water heater leaking

anyone outthere had a main mersey wh leaking from after the divertor vale as it enter the water heater inside the boiler took compression nut off and it was some sort of sealing ring would it be possible to undue nut lift pipe and replace with olive or is the pipe smaller or larger then 15 mm

No,you will have to get a new 'o' ring ,if that is what is leaking and remake joint correctly,an olive will not work as brass housing is not designed for a olive
