Just been reading a thread on diy doughnuts about these mains fed toilets, wasn't totally clear what there were.

Dosn't sound like they have a cistern, just turn on a tap and it flushes? :goofy:
 
Electronic WC flushing mechanism with either an Asco or Terza solenoid valve controlling the flow which will be powered via a 6 volt battery or 240 volt - 6 volt mains transformer. The valves are operated via either tactile switch, touch sensor, infrared sensor and transe sensor. Flushing mechanism can be adjusted to provide various flush volumes via the control box. Maximum working pressures varies with solenoid valve.
 
Interesting, not very popular in this country though probably due to water regs.
