Hi
The above heater will not heat the water up enough, it was fine up to a few days ago
The burners fire up fine on opening the taps and the pressure is sufficiant to allow full operation of the burners but the top pipes of the exchanger are not very hot . I can still hold the hot outlet with my hand even with the temp to full
Its almost as though the water is so cold coming in that it just can't heat it up enough as it passes through the exchanger. the pipes round the bottom of the exchanger are still cold even though the thin shield around them above the burners is obviously to hot to touch

If I close the taps down slightly to reduce the flow and thus increase temperature the burners go out

Any ideas

Cheers

You need a gsr in to look at your boiler. We cannot and will not give advice on the repair of boilers for your own safety.

Please go to www.User PlumbersForums.net Instead - Copy the content, don't link to it.co.uk or post a thread in the 'I'm looking for a plumber / gas engineer' section of these forums remembering to include your location.

If you are gsr please increase your post count to 10+ then send a pm to either Gas man or Redsaw who will then check you and then give you access to the gsr private forum.

Thank you.
