My boiler always sits at 1 bar however I noticed today it was 0.9, I put it back to 1 then when heating ran it went to 1.3 then back to 1.1 when the heating switched off, I have never monitored the boiler pressure (used to be my husbands job until her ran off with my friend) and now I'm checking every five minutes thinking my boiler is broken, Hot water working fine, heating working OK, no noises and checked all radiators and no leaks. Am I being a mare?

Youdo Not need to worry about it. That’s normal that the pressure jumps up to 1.3bar when heating is on. You can monitor the pressure if it starts dropping over days and weeks then you may have an issue but according what you mentioned seems cool

I take it it’s a digital gauge? Ive known some to fluctuate, they are temperamental. Wouldn’t worry yet. As above, check to see if it starts dropping or you notice water emanating from somewhere on your heating system or externally.

The pressure will rise a bit when the heating is on, This is normal.
No need to worry unless the pressure rises or drops drastically.

All ok. Simple physics: Materials expand when heated (pressure observed as going up as temp increases) Conversely, materials contract on cooling (pressure observed as going down when heating is turned off).

Time to worry is if pressure drops to zero after heating cycle has stopped or if pressure shoots right up to 3bar within a very short space of time after turning the heating on.

If you notice either of these then call in a Gas Safe Registered engineer and ONLY a Gas Safe Registered engineer to take a look at your boiler.
Otherwise what you describe is perfectly normal.

Bleeding you radiators to perfection in the middle of a cold spell (boiler set Higher!)... can reveal climbing pressure problems , climbing less than 0.5 bar in difference does not sound a problem.
