Hi can anybody help me with a problem I am having.
following a power cut the heating and hot water failed. The boiler would light but it would go out because of no flow. I thought it was the programmer blown because if it wasn’t calling for heat or hot water it doesn’t trip the electric, but as soon as it calls it blows the trip controlling the megaflow. The pump and both the 2 ports are not working, but the element is heating the water. The problem is that the boiler is not . The boiler is a Worcester 12 ri and is brand new the programmer was changed for a new one with the same result.the boiler is upstairs and the megaflo is in garage andthe Power for the megaflo is from an rcd which then goes to a fused spur and from there into the megaflo. Does anybody have any ideas.

does the pump have power ?

Ok picture of the mega flow please

We had a leaking diverter valve, thats the first thing I'd be checking for if its tripping the power, especially if its an RCD or RCBO. Make sure the power is definitely isolated before poking around in there though. Might be best handled by a professional.

Done a few tests, the pump does work , but I have to manually trigger the micro switch to get the pump to run,if I pull the override lever the pump starts momentarily, but won’t run .when I took the cover of the valve and opened it fully and kept it there it would run for as long as I held it open.when I put the multimeter on the wires from the programmer(water and heating) I am only getting 13 volts

Are these supposed to be at mains voltage or could 13 volts be correct? I heard a fizzing noise from the diverter valve in our main combi boiler. Seems daft that 240 volts could be right next to something that could leak like that valve.
Strange too that it didn't blow the 13 amp fuse on the boiler. Guess water isn't as good a conductor as copper but still glad I didn't touch it...
