Is it me??? Sent my lad to PTS in Diss this morning for a 25m coil of 15mm Speedfit, came back with a 50m coil of Polypipe as they didn't have any speedfit. I went there the other day for a shower trap, didn't have any, went there two weeks ago for a Hep VO trap, didn't have any.😡😡😡

Makes me wonder why Travis Perkins is bothering to take them over as they never have anything in stock!!!!!

All the merchants are the same. They carry very little stock compared to what they once did. Everything is trunked in overnight from their main distributions. They do however seem to have got worse in the past year and are running short on common everyday items.

agree with tamz my own supplier has trouble getting stuff as the big boys dont have accumulated stock... recession fuelled me tinks..

I stopped using PTS a long time ago, due to the fact that our local branch was staffed by complete numpties.

One example springs to mind...Whilst doing an install, with by back against the wall to get the job done, I phoned to get some bits sent in.

Asked for a dozen ef 22mm elbows, and get street elbows.

Asked for a 1200 double rad and get an 800 single, the wrong height.

This was not an isoolated incident as when I used to go in foe bits, it would of been quicker and easier for me to jump over the counter and serve myself.

Probably why TP are buying them, so they can join the other numpties at City.
