Just a thought and I don't know if there's any mileage in this, but had a shower job to do near Wallington (Surrey). Got there to find customer had bought a 9.5k shower. The electrics needed uprating (originally 7.5k). Could I find anyone with the right bits I needed?? could I heck. It took me over an hour to locate a merchant with the replacement stuff I needed, despite Google, etc. Where I am getting to is... is there any merit/way/good idea(???) to have a list of post codes and neareby merchants/suppliers? Is it viable?

I think so definately.I have a really good localish merchant,he keeps all kinds of unusual bit's where as the likes of screwfix may have 2 and can have you another 2 by 10.30 next day that's no good when you need 'em now.

If you have a tom tom sat nav then I could email you a plumbers merchants POI ( thats points of interest.)
Once installed you would type > navigate to> poi> plumbers merchants.
It then brings up a list ( and obviously directions to) the nearest ones. It also lists phone numbers of 90% of them.
When working away from home its one of those thing you wonder how you managed without.

If you have a sat nav other than a tom tom is is possible to convert the format of the file( its OV2) but a bit beyond my knowledge. People at Pocket GPS World - SatNavs | GPS | Speed Cameras would know how

As I am a scouser ,but I do live lin a good area,"no jokes please" I find when working in less desirable local areas the locals glance in the van and dont give it a second look.
Standard porsche and ferrari fitment btw
