Called to a Alpha 35 today, no heating or DHW. Did the checks, no gas supply at CHB.Checked meter, no pressure at test point.Checked for caps etc, nowt.Called in BG they said meter had failed, ive never had this before, how common is this ?
 
Funnily enough yesterday I had 3 faults on one meter. ECV Letting by, the regulator was knackered and the test nipple had a split in it. Ho hum...
 
Certain types of G4 meters have been found to be prone to simply stopping. They are generally manufactured by George wilson Industries and are G4 types. You might also notice erratic throughput as the mechanisms get sticky,causing outlet WP to bob up and down.
