Micropoint connection direction of fitting

A standard bayonet was always installed pointing down (so the pipework goes straight down). Micropoint hoses have a right angle connection,. Should a micropoint connection not be fitting straight out of the wall (as is common when bayonet is changed to micropoint), or parallel to the wall? as per the following?

parallel to the wall (if i get your meaning)



you can get a sidesways wall plate or use a straight wall plate. If you have a FI in the wall you can use a 15mmx1/2MI elbow and a straight wall plate. i hope this makes sense.
