Hi Guys

having a bit of a mare with a replacement mid position valve. Replaced a valve today like for like (Drayton MA1), checked that it was working before leaving and bled quite a lot of air out of the system. Just had a call saying they have no dhw or ch. Cannot think what else to do to remedy the issue. Any thoughts massively appreciated. Cheers Matt

Probably air locked unless it wasn't the valve in the first place.
How long did you hang around checking it worked after you fired it back up.

Cheers tamz, I thought air. It was definitely the valve as the spindle had sheered off. I was there for a good hour or so after the swap and all was good. Just didn't know what might have changed in the interim.

You'll need to pop back and have a look, more than likely something dead simple or even pilot error!

Cheers Leo, this is the thing that's confused me. Apparently the boiler is firing up as they say that the kitchen is the warmest part of the house. I'll try and bleed the pump I guess but struggling with possible faults other than that.

Sods law the pump has packed in too. That will be your fault as it was ok before you touched it

No doubt, bloody y plans, it was definitely working when I left will be hacked off if that's died too.

Sadly I'm thinking you're probably right :mad2:
