Client has just had new unvented cylinder installed, along with new system boiler.

He is complaining that hot water is cloudy. Any ideas?

As others have said, it is just loads of tiny air bubbles giving cloudy appearance. Seen it with combi's as well.
Good tip from justlead1 about filling the glass and watching the bubbles dissipate into clear water.

You will get this with any unvented system or combi. As water is heated it releases bubbles of air and there is nowhere for it to go except out through the tap.
People who are used to vented systems will find this strange and even worrying as they have never come across it before. On a vented system as the water heats the air bubbles rise up the the cylinder and escape through the vent.
Look in the kettle the next time you put it on and watch the bubbles rise from the element or base as it heats.

As Justlead said earlier fill a glass with hot water and get the customer to watch as it clears from the bottom up. (If it was something in suspension it would clear from the top down). This usually puts their mind at rest.
